here is the script. i had more reason for not watching TV but it is too long already so i decided to cut it shorter.
How long does an average Israeli watch TV everyday? How much influence does television
have on people? Do you really get more advantages from it than its disadvantages?
Firstly, the most common hobby in Israel is watching TV. An
average Israeli watches 3 hours of TV per day. There are children
who watch 7 hours per day! Instead of doing something useful, like
working, a person wastes his whole day in front of the television.

In addition, a person who watches TV usually goes to sleep late and therefore wakes up tired and tense the next day, and can't function properly.
Moreover, TV watching is unhealthy. A person lets him self get fatten and lazy by passively watching TV instead of using that time to exercise and stretch out his bones.
Furthermore, how does a person feel when he comes
back home and greats his family but no one answers?
The family is in front of the screen therefore there is
no dialogue in the house, and no to answer him.

Also, the usual contents that TV displays include: violence, alcohol, drugs, sex, lies, fantasy and so on, contents that should not be seen by adults let along children who are influenced by almost everything. The destruction TV does to the children's education, the future generation's education, is unbelievably harmful.

Finally, television is the strongest source of influence our day's. It is no surprise that publishing one commercial on Israel's TV costs 10'000 dollars
In conclusion, I just hope I made my message clear.
Remember- there is so much good in the world don’t let it slip through your hand.
here is my movie

The unit I want to teach a special needs student

Two month ago the school asked me to sit with an eight grader student who was hospitalized for three month due to a heart surgery she had. I am supposed to help her catch up with the material that she missed. The girl is actually gifted, therefore it is easy to catch up with the material but even though she is smart her self esteem is very low. Her physical appearance, the fact she was not in school for so long, and her poor social skills made her not to have any friends.
After working for the meithav that took place yesterday, we have the time to work on this project. When I offered her the project she got really excited and she said she wants to do it about her favorite animal, the cat.
Next week she is supposed to hand in the text of what she is going to say in the short clip using windows movie maker. I want to movie to be one minute long and include at least 10 different pictures and music at the background.
Grading:
Text – 65 points (hand in two drafts for me to check) information is clear and to the point using your words.
Clear speech- 15 points
Pictures- 10 points
Music- 5 points
Effects- 5 points
Bonus if the movie is creative in some way.

I will be happy to hear any comments that can make this project more beneficial.

i caanot post the tour with the new opening and ending. i tried doing ot the regular way, but it did not work. i am stuck with it for such a long time
I thought of a unit involving movie maker and I am realy excited because I want to use it already in my 8th grade.
I teach a very weak 8th grade. Some of the pupils are non readers and we work on elementary school's vocabulary. We work with the book Up Grade. Now we are learning a unit about free time. I asked the pupils to fill in the missing blanks in a passage about themselves and what they like doing in their free time (e.g.: My name is _______ and I live in _________. I am _____ years old. In my free time I like________ and_________. My brother's hobby is _______, and my sister likes_________ etc). I want them to know the passage by heart. I can use the movie maker as a tool to mark them. Instead of testing each student separately during class work, I can ask them to film themselves saying the passage and add photos from their daily routine. They will like it much better and they will be able to film themselves as many times as they need till they are pleased with the product. Sharing the movies can be a nice closure for the unit.
In the unit:
*Vocabulary about free time activities (listening to music, playing the computer, etc)
*A conversation between two girls on the phone talking about what they are doing in their after noon- listening comprehension.
*Reading a letter from a boy to his friend describing the fun things he did during the summer vacation- access to information.
*Write a passage about yourself and what you do on your free time
*Make a movie about yourself
*Present it to the class.
